The Widmer Brothers Rivers Edge Mountain Bike Marathon is a 50 mile mountain bike which will serve as the Southeast Mountain Bike Marathon Championships.  The race is held at the US National Whitewater Center on the the finest singletrack in the Piedmont of North Carolina.

12 Southeast Champions will be crowned on September 7!!
(You must have an annual USA Cycling MTB License to be eligible for championship medals)

All participants will be entered into a raffle for one of two pairs of American Classic Mountain Bike Wheels.

MAIL IN REGISTRATION
Registration will open at 7:00AM and will close 30 minutes prior to race start. To pay via credit card, online registration is available at BikeReg.com. To mail in an entry to the race, download the USA Cycling MTB release form at:  www.usacycling.org

COURSE
The US National Whitewater Center is located on the Catawba River, just southeast of Charlotte. The mountain bike trails at the US National Whitewater Center Currently are open.
The 2008 Southeast Championship course will be the complete 8.4 mile loop of fun singletrack and several tough climbs. The course runs along the scenic Catawba River, the Whitewater Park and has plenty of places to pass.

DIRECTIONS
NORTH
If coming from the north of Charlotte, take I-85 south to exit 29 (Sam Wilson Rd). Go right on Sam Wilson until it runs into Moores Chapel Rd. Take a left on Moores Chapel Rd, continuning for about a mile. Take a right on Hawfield Rd. and follow the signs.
SOUTH
If coming from the South (Gastonia), take I-85 north to exit 29 (Sam Wilson Rd). Go left on Sam Wilson until it runs into Moores Chapel Rd. Take a left on Moores Chapel Rd, continuing for about a mile. Take a right on Hawfield Rd. and follow the signs.
SOUTHEAST
If coming from southeast Charlotte, take I-485 west to Moores Chapel Rd exit. Go left on Moores Chapel Rd, continue for about a mile. Take a right on Hawfield Rd. and follow signs.
